Description Christopher Brannon 2023-10-31 19:17:35 UTC
Automatic age modification can change an item based on the age from these fields in the item:
dateaccessioned
replacementpricedate
datelastborrowed
datelastseend
damaged_on
itemlost_on
withdrawn_on

If I want to have a new item be set with a status after a certain period of time, none of these are adequate for this task. Often, our dateaccessioned is set at time of order, not the time it hits the shelf. Same with the replacementpricedate.

What we need is a custom date we can set somewhere. Either we need a new field for the item, or we need a table this functionality can reference.

Another thought would be if you could somehow tie in the tool to see the items received date in acquisitions. That could be useful.

Another option that would be great to have available is the item's "copyright date" in the "age field."
