The Notices and Slips table has a couple of inconsistent module names. For example the module "Claim acquisition" for the ACQCLAIM notice should probably be "Acquisition". As more notices are added it would make it easier to search and sort the notices if the notices are grouped with their proper module. Claim acquisition -> Acquisition Serials (new issue) -> Serials
There is a practical reason for them to be specific: all the notices added as claim acquisition will appear in the drop down when sending claim emails. You can have multiple notices there and the module is used to 'pull them' into the pull down. Same for serials claims. Both modules also have other notices: order emails for acq and the new issue alert email for serials. So I think combining into just the module would not work well. The acq order email also has its own module. Currently you can only add one notice, but I was hoping to make that more flexible at some point.
When you refer to "drop down" which drop down do you mean? When I think of module I think of the buttons on the staff interface home screen. If I try to sort the notices by module, I would expect everything that belongs to acquisitions to sort together. Perhaps the name of this notice needs to be separate from the module name?
When you go to the serial or acq claims page you can select the letter to use from a pull down. Our libraries have used this for having English and German versions of the letter for an example. Maybe module is not label for it and it should be something like "Notice/slip type". We also could have the module separately to search for... or just turn it around and make it something like "Acquistions / orders", "Acquisitions / claims"?
Flipping the word order would solve the sorting problem because it sorts alphabetically, and it would probably be a simpler fix. Would it still make sense for the drop down?
The drow downs and functionality would not change if we renamed this.
