Description Johanna Räisä 2025-02-14 07:50:42 UTC
In public libraries the holds can be set to shelves so patrons can pick them up themselves and use the self-service machine for checking out. One of our biggest public library process nearly 1000 holds a day. At the moment the items are added to the shelves by patrons' hold numbers and ordering is taking time. The libraries like to optimize this work.

The libraries would like to change the system so they could define the pickup shelves they have and Koha would suggest on check in the next free shelf for the item. With this the libraries can define shelves like Monday10, Monday11, Monday12 for example and add holds to shelves by date and time for patrons to pick them up.
