Description Nicole C. Engard 2010-12-22 00:03:51 UTC
it used to be that when a patron tagged an item that tag appeared for them whether it was approved or not - it does not appear that this is happening anymore - the tags I added that are not approved yet are not appearing in the opac results or detail display, but they do appear on ‘my tags’
Comment 1 Ian Walls 2011-03-10 16:26:44 UTC
This doesn't sound like a bug at all. Tags should not appear in the OPAC without being moderated. Otherwise, what's the point of the moderation system?
Comment 2 Nicole C. Engard 2011-03-14 14:04:23 UTC
Just saying how it used to work ... it was a nice feature (even if it wasn't a feature) for librarians who didn't want to deal with patrons asking why their tags weren't approved.

In the past if a patron tagged an item they saw their own tag (and only they saw it) even if it wasn't approved by the librarian. This is the same thing that happens with comments - patrons can see their own comments even if they haven't been approved yet.

I agree - not a bug, working as intended.
Comment 4 Owen Leonard 2013-07-02 12:44:40 UTC
Since I like the feature as described by Nicole I'd like to change this to an enhancement request (for what it's worth). I think it would make sense to have it work this way.
Comment 5 Liz Rea 2019-04-10 15:21:51 UTC
Do we still think this is a cool idea?
Comment 6 Katrin Fischer 2023-08-27 13:24:24 UTC
This could help solve bug 5174 as well.
