Statuses set to 0 were not being set when adding an item.

This patch breaks the display of item fields when adding and editing items.  They used to be in alpha order now they're in no order at all.  They should be in alpha order.

Patch really requires a comment as what it is doing is being done in a very obscure manner, that does not obviously relate to the commit message
