Description Nicole C. Engard 2013-01-30 22:02:21 UTC
I looked in to this a bit and it looks like it's a problem with the combo of the word 'and' and using the complete-subfield:

/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=su,complete-subfield:{Rites%20and%20ceremonies.}

gets no results

but

/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=su,complete-subfield:{Ritual.}

gets results

and so does

/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=kw&q=opening%20doors%20wonder&sort_by=pubdate_dsc&limit=su-to:Rites%20and%20ceremonies.

This is a 3.8 and master problem.

I get results from "opac-search.pl?idx=su%2Cphr&q=rites+and+ceremonies" and "opac-search.pl?q=su:"rites and ceremonies"

I get no results from your example, "opac-search.pl?q=su,complete-subfield:{Rites and ceremonies}" but I'm not sure how you came up with that search. Is that triggered through a form in the OPAC? Or is it written manually?

No replies to the question for a couple of years, and no patch/code so bringing the importance of this from P1 to P5.

Jon, the "importance" setting has no effect on how bug fixes are prioritized. If a bug isn't moving there are a few things you can do:

- Provide more information. My comment from 2016 asks for more information and got no response.

- Bring it up on the mailing list. If others are bothered by the problem it might trigger some action.

- Pay to get it fixed. This is the only way you can guarantee action. Volunteers set their own agenda, and paid support companies go where their customers have the most need. https://koha-community.org/support/paid-support/

It might be a good idea to hide it from the Bugzilla UI in that case.

I think that is not possible by configuration and while bugzilla is open source, we don't want to make too many changes as they would give us trouble at the time of updating.

As of the previous discussion I close this WORKSFORME
