Steps to reproduce issue: 1. Import a record with a control number field (001) into the catalog using the "Stage MARC records for import" tool 2. Import the same record, but only into the "reservoir" (i.e. do not use the "Staged MARC record management" tool) 3. Go to /cgi-bin/koha/cataloguing/addbooks.pl and enter the ControlNumber from the record in step 1 & 2. Result: 1 record found in Catalog, 0 records found in "reservoir" Expected Result: 1 record found in Catalog, 1 record found in "reservoir" https://paste.pics/88c103d917029fa29e229b683b322260
It seems that only title, author and isbn are supported by this search. We could extend it to the full MARC records but that may return too many results.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "It seems that only title, author and isbn are supported by this search." Only title, author and isbn are supported by the *Reservoir* search, but other fields are supported by the *Catalog* search. Why not support the SAME search over both sets?
I specifically think this is a *BUG* and not an enhancement. If the interface lets you search and provides result sets, than it should return results from both places when searching for the same thing.

The records in the catalog are searched using Zebra, the reservoir records are not indexed by Zebra and can only be searched with SQL, that's why they don't work the same and it would be hard to make them, unless we decided to make an index for the reservoir records as well I think.
